With all the gloom and doom in the papers and news in general about how our fair isle is being submerged in a sea of foreign workers (and none workers !) perhaps this will keep your chin up.

It seems to me that the peoples of the european nations have two 'faiths' who seem pledged to take away from them the freedoms and way of life they have lived for decades.
One, the bureaucrats of Brussels and two radical Islam.
We have written a great deal about the former.
Watch this, about how Holland is being transformed by the latter.
I understand that this link has been taken off as it has provoked threats to the staff of 'liveleak.'
If I find another link I will post it.
Another triumph to Islam and a defeat to free speech.

Once upon a time the UK government ruled the country, indeed once an Empire. How things have changed.
Now our UK government has only a little more power than our county councils. Don't believe me ? Then go to this site which explains a little of how the power has been given away, by our politicians, to the bureaucracy of Brussels.

I always thought that giving away a peoples rights and handing over a country to a foreign power was the mark of a traitor. Can I be wrong ??

I Quite Like This
The politicians lured their fellow Britons into the prison of Europe by assuring them that the prison door would not be bolted shut by means of a constitution.
To demonstrate that the prison door would not be bolted shut, they solemnly assured the people that before any bolt was installed on the prison door, the people would be asked for their consent. By means of a referendum.
But the people kept showing signs of wanting to leave the prison, so the politicians devised a new trick. Instead of installing a bolt, they welded the prison door shut.
The people protested - “We want a referendum on this!” The politicians replied - “Certainly not. We haven’t bolted the door. This weld isn’t a Constitution, it’s a Treaty. So you have no right to ask for a referendum.”
